DayPlay is a responsive website

that helps people discover

things to do in Oakland.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a website that could read your mind and make suggestions? Well, I tried to come up with the next best thing. Instead of forcing a user to navigate through directories, why not just ask them for some basic information? Some simple testing lead me to those core questions. Do you want to be outside or inside? Who will be with you? What kind of activity do you want to be doing? Using a Natural Language Form, I combined those questions into one sentence. I then paired the sentence up with the tags I placed on each recommendation. Lastly, by incorporating the day’s weather forecast into the design, the decision process becomes a little bit easier.
